Over the three years it took us to complete our program we managed to save over $21,000. We also reduced the future cost of running our household by almost $8,000 a year ($9,000 savings p.a. minus $1,000 costs p.a.). On top of that, we spent over $45,000 on our home, an investment that we’d easily recoup if we were ever to sell.

Now that we’ve made environmental investments to our home and lifestyle, we’re looking to the future with our program.

If we took a ten year view, we’d be able to save over $80,000 and receive an 8.5% return on our investments.

That’s not even taking into account the value it would add to our home and the benefit it would have on the environment!
